A SONG FOR OURSELVES 2.28.09 Premiere Trailer from Tadashi Nakamura on Vimeo.

It sure is a small world up in this Asian American artists community:

Miles Senzaki is the former band leader of Ill Again. Randruff and Ajax were the Ill Again emcees before they became Novelists. Bookends, the Novelists' debut album, was produced by your boys Fatgums and Gammaray. Bookends features DJ ET, who recently completed the Social Documentation Masters Program at UCSC with Tad. A Song For Ourselves was conceived in this program. ET's corresponding UCSC film focuses on Kiwi. Kiwi is a former member of Native Guns, a group that also included DJ Phatrick and Bambu. Bambu and I are about to release ...A Peaceful Riot... this Spring. The only guest spot on ...A Peaceful Riot... is by The CounterParts' very own T-Know!

"Seven Months" is from the album ...Exact Change... by the homie Bambu. The album is available on iTunes and at beatrock.com. Although it may seem biased, I truly believe ...Exact Change... is the best Hip Hop album of 2008 (Below The Heavens is up there, but I gotta give the #1 spot to Bam!).
